PPE & Safety Measures
Work In a Well Ventilated Space
-
All of our products are low VOC in order to reduce the amount of off gassing that takes place during the reaction between the resin and the hardener. However, people with higher sensitivities may still experience irritations or slight allergic reactions. To help avoid this, work in a space that has a consistent flow of fresh air. In addition to this, some may also find that it helps to wear a respirator mask.
Protect Your Skin
-
It should always be a point to make sure epoxy resin does not come into contact with you skin. An easy solution to make sure this doesn't happen is wearing gloves, and if you are prone to getting messy, long sleaved shirts can help too!
-
In the case that epoxy resin does get on your skin, wash your hands with warm soapy water and/or use alcohol wipes. Wash until thoroughly clean.
Avoid Contact With Your Eyes
-
Epoxy Resin should never come into contact with your eyes. To avoid this do not rub your eyes while working with epoxy resin. In some cases, it may be best to wear safety goggles to ensure that this does not happen.
-
In the case that you do get it in your eyes, DO NOT rub your eyes. Flush with water immediately and repeatedly and seek medical attention.
